BRIDGE COTTAGE directly overlooks the
River Greta
and the Lattrigg woodland. You can walk from the door straight onto
Lattrigg Fell – and continue onto
Skiddaw and Blencathra Mountains.
If you keep your eyes open – red squirrels will pass your
front door – and feed below your kitchen window.
There is abundant bird life – Jay, Woodpecker, Heron, and Kingfisher
flash by on the river.
The River Greta is a salmon and trout fishing river. There are
badger and deer in the Lattrigg woodland – And the osprey nest three
or four miles out of Keswick along Bassenthwaite Lake.
The town of
Keswick, for restaurants, Theatre, cinema, good pubs and shops is a
mile away from BRIDGE COTTAGE. Approximately fifteen minutes walk.
Taxis into town are normally quick and efficient. |
